Holiday season is over and while you’ve had to push yourself to the edge of your social limits hosting or attending Christmas get-togethers, there is one silver lining that makes it all worth it. Gift cards! So with a bit of additional cash to splurge on my biggest vice, expensive makeup, I bought a firming cream moisturizer to get to work on my prematurely sagging jowls.
I decided to give Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Cream a try. I’m honestly not too familiar with the brand, maybe seen it a few times while browsing. The reviews looked promising and the product description seemed to cover my need for a fast acting, strong skin firming cream.
Fortunately, I don’t have too many wrinkles yet but I have been noticing a bit of sagging and loss of elasticity in my forehead and cheeks. Its price is a bit out of my normal range for moisturizers ($20-40), so I wanted to see if dishing out the extra bucks on a firming moisturizer would be worth the hype.

Caudalie Resveratrol Lift Cream Review
To preface my review of Caudalie’s Resveratrol Lift Firming Cashmere Cream, I have pretty average skin that can be on the oilier side during hot and humid weather or after 5-6 hours of wearing a full face of makeup. My biggest problem area is slight sagging near my cheeks and eyebrows. I’ve always had a youthful appearance with a bit of a fuller face and chubbier cheeks, but the natural loss of elasticity has taken away tightness from my once snatched face.
Caudalie’s Resveratrol Lift Cream is a bit heavier than my usual daily wear moisturizer but it goes on with a velvety texture and dries quickly without any feelings of heaviness. The thicker cream texture gave me all day hydration but didn’t cause me to be oily.
I kid you not, on the second or third day, I had to do a double take in the mirror. My face was noticeably tighter to the point where my immediate thought was, did I lose weight? I didn’t. In fact, I’ve probably put on a few from the holidays. No exaggeration, my face looked slimmer and more firm, but I also could really notice the collagen boosting effect, especially around my forehead and brow area. My forehead skin didn’t appear as thin and flat and gave off a brighter, plumper appearance.
It honestly gave me a huge boost of confidence that first week because I felt like my face hasn’t looked that healthy and youthful in a while. I’ve experimented with many drugstore and pricier firming moisturizers and Caudalie’s Resveratrol Lift Cream is the first one where I thought, holy crap, this stuff really works. It gives similar results to retinol products, although I haven’t used retinol products for a while now, so I can’t say if resveratrol or retinol is better. I definitely do notice a bit more elasticity and collagen boosting with resveratrol creams.
Caudalie’s Resveratrol Lift Firming Cashmere Cream exceeded my expectations and will be my new go to, dailywear lifting and firming moisturizer until I can find something that can top it. If you’re on the fence because of its steep price, I’d definitely recommend to at least try it once when you have the extra funds or when it’s on sale. I won’t be dramatic and say it’s life changing but for me, the results were shockingly good and noticeable after only one or two uses.
Caudalie also has a similar night time cream, Resveratrol-Lift Firming Night Cream, which I’m tempted to try but am hesitant because of the price ($72). I’m curious to see if I’d get some insane results using both creams together or if it’ll just be overkill and the dailywear Resveratrol Lift Cashmere Cream is sufficient on its own. That will have to be an experiment for another time!
